Lunch date at Buon Giorno Ortigas
Saturday, 16 April 2011

FoodBlog.ph lives once more! :) I’ll be honest… I’ve been shying away from reviewing restaurants and blogging about food intentionally for the past few months. I was training for my first-ever 42.2km road race last March 20, and too much scrumptious food could pose a problem to my marathoner’s diet and training. The marathon’s done now, and though I’m about to embark on a new but less intensive running challenge, I’m already comfortable being around lots of food! I already developed the habit of eating healthy and in proper moderation, so I think I can now trust myself to talk about food once more :)

Buon Giorno Ortigas

As I’ve already mentioned in my previous post, I just can’t say no to Italian food! Besides, healthy pasta had been a consistent part of my diet (specially during carbo-loading weeks) so it’s really not something that could raise my nutritionist’s eyebrows. When I received an invite to the opening of Boun Giorno in Ortigas, I just had to be there!

This wasn’t the first time I’ve had a taste of Buon Giorno’s cuisine — I’ve already tried the food from their branch in Tagaytay. I could recall how much I enjoyed my lunch there, and that’s quite something as the first time is usually a make or break for me: either I like the food enough to want to go back, or I’d loathe it so much I’d swear never to see the place again. I liked Boun Giorno — I liked it enough to go back not only once, but twice. Read more…
